The OKKO Holy Grit is a versatile pedal that offers you all the sounds of a great vintage preamp, from overdrive to fuzz. Based on a (very) heavily modified Fuzz Face/Tone Bender circuit, this ultra-compact preamp will allow you to add a unique color and grain to your sound.

Inside this small box with an elegant grainy finish hides a quality PCB and top components, as always with the German brand. There is a Level button to adjust the output level (there is some in reserve!), a Fuzz button for the amount of gain, a Bass button (very interesting because it not only adds low end, but also thickens the drive and acts as a pre-gain by adding an additional gain stage), a Treble that acts as a cut and finally, a mini toggle switch that allows the following configurations:
- High: High headroom, less gain, less compression with a slightly pinched midrange.
- Middle: More gain, with a bias set very low, for a dirty, buzzy drive.
- Low: A slightly salty in-between, but which maintains excellent dynamics.
There is also a switch to enable or disable the buffer. When enabled, it adds a bit of presence and edge.

Connected to a Plexi type amp "on the edge of the drive", the OKKO Holy Grit immediately brings a very specific color. This side, warm, low medium, with bite, which raps and catches. Fans of good Vintage will identify it immediately. Aficionado of sounds like Led Zep, Queen and others, you will be filled by this pre-amp full of color and dynamics.
The Bass knob transforms the Holy Grit from an OD boost to a devastating Fuzz machine. Used in conjunction with the Fuzz knob and toggle switch, you can access a whole range of blues-rock sounds, all of which are extremely authentic.

Somewhere between the warmth of germanium and the presence of silicon, the OKKO Holy Grit is a "rock" preamp at an affordable price, which will delight those obsessed with vintage sounds. The grain is beautiful, original, it makes the pedal easy to play and gives it great versatility.
